President
Makenzie Guerra
Serving as an Active-duty Intelligence Analyst at Joint Base Charleston, Makenzie joined AFA in 2024 and continues as the Charleston Chapter President. She utilizes her Associate’s of Applied Science in Intelligence Studies and Technology and Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Cybersecurity to advocate for STEM education around the Charleston community, inspiring future DoD cyber and space innovators and leaders! As the key liaison for AFA Charleston – Joint Base Charleston relations, Makenzie strives to support military personnel and their families of Joint Base Charleston. She employs her wealth of knowledge to continuously advocate for both AFA Charleston and the USAF, making positive impacts across the community! Makenzie hopes to commission as Cyberspace Operations Officer in the near future.

Tyler West
Tyler serves as an Active-duty Intelligence Analyst at Joint Base Charleston, joining AFA and stepping into the role of Chapter Vice President in 2025. Tyler brings 4 years of military experience and education from his Associate’s in Applied Science in Intelligence Studies and Technology and Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Intelligence Studies to the Chapter. His accomplishments as an Active-duty airmen include AMC ISR Airmen of the Year 2024, 2x Air and Space Achievement Medals, 1x Air and Space Force Commendation Medal, and the John L. Levitow winner in his Airmen Leadership School class. Tyler passionately advocates for the USAF, AFA, and support of the Charleston Community. Tyler plans to commission into the USAF as an Intelligence Officer.

Ryan LaRiviere
Ryan currently serves as an Active-duty Intelligence Analyst at Joint Base Charleston. He represents AFA Charleston as Vice President of Community Events, coordinating the logistics of Chapter presence at different events in the Charleston Lowcountry. Along with his coordination efforts, he establishes relationships with local businesses and vendors, allowing AFA Charleston to continuously support the local community and advocate for the Air & Space Forces Association.
